Angel Reese, Kamilla Cardoso Draw Major Injury Updates for Chicago Sky vs. Dallas Wings

Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has been cleared to play in Wednesday night’s game against the Dallas Wings after being listed earlier on the injury report with a leg issue.

Sky head coach Tyler Marsh said before the game that Reese was considered a game-time decision, though the injury was not considered serious.

“Angel’s a game-time decision,” Marsh said. “We’re being careful, but it’s nothing serious. We’ll see how she feels in warmups, but we’re hopeful she’ll be able to go tonight.”

Reese has appeared in all 18 games for Chicago this season, leading the WNBA in rebounding at 12.9 per game. She is also averaging 13.2 points and a team-best 3.9 assists. Over her last five games, she has averaged 19.4 points, 16.6 rebounds, and 5.0 assists, recording five consecutive double-doubles with at least 15 points and 15 boards.

The injury update capped a headline-filled week for the rookie forward. Reese was named to her second WNBA All-Star team on Sunday, unveiled her debut signature shoe — the “Angel Reese 1” with Reebok — and was announced as the cover athlete for NBA 2K26 by EA Sports.

Chicago (5-13) enters Wednesday’s game having dropped two straight and six of its last eight. Tipoff against Dallas (6-14) is set for 8 p.m. EDT at Wintrust Arena, where the Sky will also retire Allie Quigley’s jersey in a pregame ceremony.
