Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Dončić and Charlotte Hornets All-Star LaMelo Ball have been named the NBA Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for Week 22 of the 2025-26 season (March 16-22).
The Lakers went 4-0 in Week 22, while the Hornets went 3-0.
Los Angeles beat the Houston Rockets (twice), Miami Heat and Orlando Magic last week. Dončić averaged 42.3 points, 6.8 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game.
Meanwhile, Charlotte defeated the Heat, Magic and Grizzlies. Ball averaged 26.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 7.3 assists per contest.
As of this writing, the Lakers are 46-25. They are in third place in the rugged Western Conference standings. Dončić is averaging 33.4 points, 7.9 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game in his first full season with Los Angeles. The future Hall of Famer leads the NBA in points per game.
The Hornets are 37-34. They are in 10th place in the Eastern Conference standings. Ball is averaging 19.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game on the season.
