The Toronto Raptors are interested in trading for Sacramento Kings All-Star Domantas Sabonis and Dallas Mavericks big man Daniel Gafford, according to multiple NBA reports.

Sam Amick of The Athletic reported the Raptors’ interest in Sabonis, while Josh Lewenberg of TSN reported Toronto’s interest in Gafford.

The Raptors are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings. According to Lewenberg, Toronto appears willing to part with some combination of Immanuel QuickleyJakob Poeltl and RJ Barrett to upgrade its roster around Brandon Ingram and Scottie Barnes.

Sabonis is making $42.3 million this season, while Gafford is making $14.4 million. Neither player has a no-trade clause.

A three-time All-Star, Sabonis is averaging 15.4 points, 11.4 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game this season for the Kings, who are in 14th place in the Western Conference standings. Sabonis is better suited to play for a playoff team at this stage of his career, as he’s 29 years old.

Meanwhile, Gafford is averaging 7.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game for the Mavericks, who are in 12th place in the West. While Gafford signed an extension with Dallas last offseason, the veteran is widely regarded as the most tradeable Mavericks player, sources told DallasHoopsJournal.

The Raptors were interested in trading for Mavericks star Anthony Davis before the 10-time All-Star and future Hall of Famer suffered ligament damage in his left hand against the Utah Jazz. Toronto, sources said, is no longer involved in significant trade talks for Davis, who will miss around six weeks.

The 2026 NBA trade deadline is February 5 at 3 p.m. ET. It will be fascinating to see if the Raptors make any deals. They acquired Ingram from the New Orleans Pelicans last season.

Under head coach Darko Rajakovic, the Raptors are 24th in the NBA in points per game, sixth in points per game allowed, 18th in net rating, fifth in defensive rating and 12th in net rating this season.
