3-Team Trade Proposal Sends Anthony Davis To Portland Trail Blazers, Jalen Williams To Washington Wizards

DHJ Quick Take

  • Wizards Land Youth: In exchange for the No. 1 overall pick, the Washington Wizards acquire Jalen Williams, Scoot Henderson, the No. 12 pick and multiple future draft selections.
  • Thunder Get Top Pick: The Oklahoma City Thunder land the coveted No. 1 overall pick in the draft, along with veteran forward Jerami Grant.
  • Blazers Secure Star: The Portland Trail Blazers capitalize on the multi-team reshuffle to anchor their frontcourt with big man Anthony Davis.

In the wake of the Washington Wizards being open to trading the first pick in this year’s NBA Draft, a blockbuster three-team trade proposal sending Anthony Davis to the Portland Trail Blazers and Jalen Williams to the Wizards has been created.

Dan Favale of Bleacher Report created the following trade proposal:

Washington Wizards Receive: Jalen Williams, Scoot Henderson, No. 12, Sacramento’s 2028 second-round pick (via Portland), Denver’s 2029 first-round pick (top-five protection; via OKC), Portland’s 2031 second-round pick

Oklahoma City Thunder Receive: Jerami Grant, No. 1

Portland Trail Blazers Receive: Anthony Davis

The odds of this trade proposal happening are very, very, very low. However, no one thought the Dallas Mavericks would ever trade Luka Dončić. Nothing can be ruled out in today’s NBA anymore after the Los Angeles Lakers acquired Dončić last season.

Williams will make $41.3 million next season and Davis will make $58.5 million. Neither All-Star has a no-trade clause.

For the Thunder this regular season, Williams averaged 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game. OKC won the 2025 championship and is expected to win it all again this season.

Meanwhile, Davis averaged 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game with the Dallas Mavericks. He was traded to the Wizards in February but didn’t play with Washington because of ligament damage in his left hand.

Williams has spent his entire NBA career with the Thunder, while Davis has been with the New Orleans Pelicans, Lakers, Mavericks and Wizards.
