According to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Miami Heat have gauged the trade market for Andrew Wiggins.

The Heat acquired Wiggins from the Golden State Warriors in the blockbuster Jimmy Butler trade last season.

Wiggins is making $28.2 million this season. He has a player option worth $30.2 million for next season. The Toronto native doesn’t have a no-trade clause.

A one-time All-Star, Wiggins is averaging 16.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game this season while shooting 48.1% from the field, 38.0% from beyond the arc and 70.2% from the free-throw line.

The Heat are 14-12. They are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Miami, led by Hall of Famer Pat Riley, wants to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks, who want to trade for Wiggins to surround Antetokounmpo with more talent on the wing, sources told DallasHoopsJournal.

The Bucks are telling teams right now that Antetokounmpo is not available in trade talks. Antetokounmpo will only be traded if he requests to be dealt.

Wiggins, 30, has played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Warriors and Heat. He has career averages of 18.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

A Kansas product, Wiggins helped the Warriors win the 2022 championship against the Boston Celtics. The small forward was the first overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.
