The Sacramento Kings are looking to trade guard Malik Monk, according to NBA insider Chris Haynes.
Monk is making $18.8 million this season.
Monk is averaging 12.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game this season while shooting 43.7% from the field, 41.1% from beyond the arc and 83.7% from the free-throw line.
The Kings are 7-22. They have the worst record in the Western Conference.
Monk has played for the Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Lakers and Kings. He holds career averages of 12.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
A Kentucky product, Monk doesn’t have a no-trade clause. He joined the Kings in 2022 and helped the franchise make the 2023 playoffs.
