The Toronto Raptors are interested in Dallas Mavericks big man Anthony Davis and Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis, according to NBA insider Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

The Raptors are looking to upgrade their frontcourt. They are in third place in the Eastern Conference standings with a strong record of 16-11.

“Toronto, though, has sent out some early signals that it hopes to upgrade its frontcourt. Sources with knowledge of the Raptors’ thinking have identified them as a team with interest in Domantas Sabonis as well as Anthony Davis,” Fischer wrote.

Davis is making $54.1 million this season. He’ll make $58.5 million next season and has a player option for the 2027–28 season worth $62.8 million.

Meanwhile, Sabonis is making $42.3 million this season. He’ll make $45.5 million next season and $48.6 million during the 2027-28 season, the final year of his contract.

Davis has played in only 11 games this season for the Mavericks. The 2020 NBA champion is averaging 20.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.6 blocks per game.

A Chicago native, Davis has appeared in just 20 games with the Mavericks since the blockbuster Luka Dončić trade last season. The future Hall of Famer is averaging 20.0 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.9 blocks per game in a Dallas uniform.

Sabonis, currently out because of a torn meniscus in his left knee, has appeared in 11 games this season for the Kings. He’s averaging 17.2 points, 12.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. The three-time All-Star has nine double-doubles.

Davis has played for the New Orleans Pelicans, Los Angeles Lakers and Mavericks, while Sabonis has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Indiana Pacers and Kings. Neither star has a no-trade clause.

The Mavericks (10-17) and Kings (6-20) are at the bottom of the Western Conference standings, so both teams could be open for business.
