LeBron James Would Have No Issues Playing With Jaylen Brown On Philadelphia 76ers

LeBron James would have no issues playing with Jaylen Brown on the Philadelphia 76ers despite what Brown said about Bronny James, according to Jason Dumas of 6abc.

When Bronny was playing in Summer League for the Los Angeles Lakers in 2024, Brown was caught on camera saying, “I don’t think Bronny is a pro.”

According to Dumas, LeBron has “moved on” from what Brown said about Bronny.

The 76ers, who acquired Brown from the Boston Celtics in a blockbuster trade, are interested in signing LeBron, who will not re-sign with the Lakers. Philadelphia wants to create a monster lineup of Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe, Brown, LeBron and Joel Embiid.

When LeBron was a free agent in the summer of 2018, he considered signing with the 76ers before ultimately joining the Lakers. LeBron is close with Maxey and Embiid, as Maxey and LeBron have trained together and Embiid and LeBron were teammates on Team USA in the summer of 2024.

Arguably the greatest player in NBA history, LeBron played in 60 games last season, his 23rd year in the NBA. He averaged 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game for the Lakers, who are now building around Luka Dončić, Austin Reaves and newcomer Walker Kessler.

In the 2026 playoffs against the Houston Rockets and Oklahoma City Thunder, LeBron put up 23.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 7.3 assists per game. The Lakers beat the Rockets in the first round in six games. However, LeBron and Co. lost to the Thunder in the second round in four games. Dončić didn’t play in the playoffs because of a severe hamstring injury.

LeBron, who has been in the NBA since 2003, is a four-time MVP, four-time champion and four-time Finals MVP. He’s the all-time leader in points, field goals, minutes and games.

Along with the 76ers, LeBron has been linked to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets. The future Hall of Famer has played for the Cavaliers twice and the Heat once.

The 76ers have never advanced past the second round of the playoffs in the Embiid era. That would probably change with LeBron in the fold next to Embiid, Maxey, Edgecombe and Brown.

It will be fascinating to see where LeBron is playing next season. Every NBA contender is interested in adding the sports icon, who turns 42 next season in December.
