Dallas Wings Injury Report

The Wings (6–14) remain without four key contributors:

DiJonai Carrington – Out (Rib)
Tyasha Harris – Out (Left Knee)
Arike Ogunbowale – Out (Left Thumb)
Maddy Siegrist – Out (Right Knee)

Harris is out for the season. Carrington and Ogunbowale did not travel to Chicago and remain week-to-week. Siegrist continues on-court rehab but remains unavailable. Dallas re-signed Haley Jones to a rest-of-season contract Wednesday after waiving Liatu King. Jones is active and available to play.

Chicago Sky Injury Report

Courtney Vandersloot – Out (Knee)
Angel Reese – Available (Leg)

Reese is cleared to play Wednesday night after logging 22 points and 15 rebounds earlier in the day during Chicago’s 81–79 loss to the Washington Mystics. Vandersloot will not be available due to a knee injury.

“Wake-Up Call” in Phoenix

Dallas enters the matchup following a 102–72 loss to the Phoenix Mercury on Monday. It was the team’s largest defeat of the season. Sami Whitcomb scored 36 points and Alyssa Thomas posted a triple-double to lead a 19–0 third-quarter run that broke the game open.

JJ Quinerly had a career-high 18 points and five assists, while Aziaha James scored 15 to extend her streak of double-figure outings to seven. Paige Bueckers and Myisha Hines-Allen each added 11 points. Teaira McCowan chipped in nine points and 10 rebounds.

“They’re a veteran team with championship aspirations,” Wings head coach Chris Koclanes said. “They responded at home after a road loss, and our rookies got to live through that. That experience matters.”

Rookies Driving Dallas

Dallas has started four rookies in back-to-back games — Bueckers, James, Quinerly, and Luisa Geiselsöder. The group continues to fuel the team’s offensive output in the absence of veteran scorers.

James has averaged 15.9 points over her last seven games after starting the year at just 2.0 per game. Quinerly is averaging 16.7 points since entering the starting lineup, while Bueckers remains the league’s leading rookie scorer.

“They want to learn, they’re eager to learn, and they’re not full of themselves,” McCowan said of the rookie core. “They’re just coming in with grace, and they’re humble.”

Rebounding Advantage, Despite Injuries

The Wings lead the WNBA in offensive rebounds (11.6 per game) and rank third in total rebounding (36.9 per game). Seven active players average at least four rebounds. McCowan pulled down 10 boards in Monday’s loss, while Li Yueru owns the season-high with 15.

What to Expect Wednesday

The Wings will try to avoid being swept by the Sky after dropping the first two games of the season series. Chicago is coming off a tough road loss and playing its second game of the day. Meanwhile, Dallas will aim to tighten up defensively and get back in rhythm after Monday’s rough showing.

“We’re about to play Chicago — a team we owe,” Hines-Allen said. “They’ve beaten us twice, and we know they’re coming out hungry, too. But we’re hungry as well.”

What’s Next

Following Wednesday’s contest, the Wings travel to Indiana to take on the Fever on Sunday afternoon. Tipoff at Gainbridge Fieldhouse is scheduled for noon CT and will air nationally on ABC.
