How to Watch Dallas Wings vs. New York Liberty: Paige Bueckers Plays First WNBA Game at Barclays Center, Diamond Miller Debuts, Maddy Siegrist Returns on Tuesday, August 5

The Dallas Wings will begin a two-game road swing on Tuesday night, when they face the New York Liberty at Barclays Center. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT, and local television coverage will be on KFAA29 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The Wings (8–21) are looking to bounce back after a competitive but frustrating 88–78 loss to the Indiana Fever on Friday, where rebounding struggles and perimeter stagnation led to their second straight defeat. New York (18–10) snapped a four-game losing streak on Sunday with an 87–78 win at Connecticut behind a 36-point outburst from Sabrina Ionescu.
Dallas defeated New York 92–82 in their previous meeting last Monday, a game that featured a historic performance from Arike Ogunbowale and a dominant first half that established a new standard for the young Wings.

Paige Bueckers Repeats as WNBA Rookie of the Month
For the second consecutive month, Paige Bueckers was named WNBA Rookie of the Month, becoming the only multi-time honoree this season. The Wings guard averaged 18.2 points, 5.2 assists, and 1.8 steals in July, ranking top-10 in the league across all three categories.
Bueckers led Dallas with 22 points in their most recent outing, marking her third straight 20-point game and tying Odyssey Sims for the second-most 20-point games by a rookie in franchise history.
Diamond Miller to Make Dallas Wings Debut
Diamond Miller, acquired in a pre-deadline trade with the Minnesota Lynx, will make her Wings debut on Tuesday. The 6-3 forward is shooting a career-best 53.8 percent from three-point range and brings much-needed length and downhill aggression to Dallas’ wing rotation.
“It’s been a whirlwind, but I’m ready to make an impact here,” Miller said at Tuesday’s shootaround. “I feel like I have a lot to prove.”
Maddy Siegrist Returns From Injury
After missing 18 games with a right knee injury, Maddy Siegrist will return to the lineup on a minutes restriction. Known for her rebounding tenacity, Siegrist’s presence on the glass will be pivotal, especially with Hines-Allen sidelined.
“New York can hurt you in so many ways, but we’ve got to be the aggressors,” Siegrist said.
Arike Ogunbowale Looks to Build on Historic Performance
In the previous meeting against New York, Ogunbowale recorded 20 points and a career-high 14 assists, tying the WNBA’s single-game assist record. She became the first player in franchise history to notch a points-assists double-double in a single half and did so with just one turnover.
“We’re communicating better, simplifying things offensively, and that’s helping us build chemistry,” Ogunbowale said after the win.
Adjustments Needed Against Liberty’s Zone Defense
Despite their previous win, Dallas struggled against New York’s fourth-quarter zone defense, scoring just seven points in the final frame. Head coach Chris Koclanes emphasized the need to attack the nail area and avoid stagnation.
“We can’t let their zone slow us down,” Bueckers said. “We need to keep attacking, moving the ball, and stay aggressive.”
Koclanes is also counting on Diamond Miller’s downhill attack and Siegrist’s rebounding to create more balance in Dallas’ offensive approach.
“Her size, speed, and ability to attack closeouts will be big for us,” Koclanes said of Miller.
What’s at Stake
The Wings are aiming for their first season series win over New York since 2019. Dallas holds a 42–41 all-time advantage in the head-to-head series. A victory on Tuesday would mark the team’s ninth win of the season and a key step in building momentum for the final stretch of the regular season.
